Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in a Title I school in Miami Beach. My students are imaginative and inquisitive kids. Most of them come from underprivileged households, mostly non-English speakers. They are passionate about school, they have a great attitude towards learning.
The majority of my students come from low-income homes.
They are a group of bright and unique individuals who are eager to go back to normalcy. My main objective would be for them to be constantly encouraged to know their potentials and strive to always become better. My students are incredibly enthusiastic learners, always excited to use new materials I bring to the classroom.
My Project
My students enjoy learning in a collaborative environment,
All of my students enjoy learning through hands on experiences.
These domino pieces will give my students the opportunity to explore STEAM learning by creating geometric designs, exploring energy and creating patterns. These domino pieces provide an engaging opportunity to build math, science, spacial and fine motor skills. The students can use their imagination to create 3D chain reactions designs while having fun.
My students love building and destroying the structures to build a more challenging one, and I would like to be able to take this excitement by allowing for more creative 3D designs.
