Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students at our school make products to sell in school store. This is a club that allows third through fifth graders to make products to sell. These items in turn help fund the program and also allow them to give back some of the profits to charities in need in our local area.

"Giving is not just about making a donation.

It is about making a difference" - Kathy Calvin. The students that are in the club are learning that you should always give back when you can. In the past we have donated to Breast Cancer, Leukemia, Adopted a Turtle Nest, and supported our located education foundation. This year we would like to start a new reoccuring give back, of creating a scholarship to our feeder high school.

The computer will help with the design process. The students at our school have access to lasers, 3D printers, sublimation, and create direct to film (DTF) transfers. This computers would help the students continue to give back by having the tools needed to design and create with the technology available to them.
