Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a classroom full of eager learners! Every student brings his or her own unique personality to our classroom. The students at our school represent the diverse ethnic and socioeconomic conditions of our small rural community. Even with their many challenges, all students are taught the Common Core State Standards and have the same expectations to complete each grade level. Our school values education and strives to reach the full potential of all of our students. We focus on the learning and achievements of all of our children.

My Project

Students will be using the school supplies every day in my classroom. They will use pencils for their creative writing projects. They will use Sharpie markers to write their final copies. They will use construction paper to frame their writing and make it look complete for displaying.

Students will also use the dry erase markers to solve math problems on their whiteboards.

We go through several packages of Expo markers each year. Our school gives us one marker per student at the beginning of the year, but when they dry out, we have to purchase more packages throughout the year with our classroom budget or personal account. These school supplies will be greatly appreciated!
