My Project
At my school, students are consistently exposed to diversity in all forms; be they differences in background, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status, all of these circumstances are welcomed and accepted. This burgeoning background of cultural visibility is what makes the school able to host Andy's Attic, a non-profit organization designed to repurpose donated clothes, toys, and toiletries to support those in need in the Worcester community. For 10-odd years, my students have formed the backbone of all levels of administration in this organization, from managers to first-day volunteers folding clothes. It is for this reason that a student has written this paragraph— all levels of outreach are facilitated by diligent students.
Now more than ever, as the Andy's Attic profile increases in magnitude, my students are calling upon the support of a greater community in order to receive necessary toiletries and items of clothing.
Our goal is to include toiletries and undergarments in every order, regardless of what is requested, meaning we are often shorthanded in those departments. Through this DonorsChoose project, and other related projects, we hope to sustain a supply of these crucial materials to greater serve our community! Thank you for considering us!
