This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach World Language and Culture at an IB school. It is important to provide multiple and diverse ways for the students to demonstrate what they have learned in class. They tend to gravitate towards the plastic arts any time the opportunity comes around.
Art is a very effective way for students to explore and demonstrate their knowledge.
It allows them to be creative and risk takers in a safe and controlled environment. The materials requested here will provide such opportunities for all my students from Kindergarten all the way through sixth grade.
