My Project

As my seniors head into a year exploring American Democracy, Economics AND Election 2024, they will need to push their own thinking while maintaining an open mind to the ideas of others.

Learning, in my classroom, is all about engagement and inquiry.

With this in mind, I teach using Interactive notebooks. The students use all possible techniques and resources to unpack current events and historical documents. I get them fully engaged in groups and individually to build their own inquiry based notes/text. Specifically, within these interactive notebook students draw, cut, paste, articulate, write, take notes, unpack vocabulary, depict art, culture, events, and more. This process is organized, research based and a heck of a lot of fun. I hope you will help us.

Posters illuminating the various political and economic systems of the world will bring our classroom further alive. We will be using the large US maps to, literally "map" the political geography of the United States as election 2024 unfolds.
