My Project

Books! Books! Books! My second graders will be reading all sorts of books this year in second grade! To help students store and transport the books carefully and respectfully from school to home, my second graders will need a sturdy book pouch to fit picture and chapter books. Every week students will be choosing 'just right' books to read in school and at home.

Students will need a book pouch to organize the books they will read for the week.

Students will be choosing 7 to 10 books per week to read at home with their family and friends. The zippered pouch on the back will allow students to safely store Post-its, pencils, and markers to use during reading to jot down favorite parts, ideas, and questions.

It is important for my students to have access to books at home to read with their families. Due to financial hardship, parents do not have books at home for their children to read. The colorful book pouches will encourage and motivate my students to read every day!
