Help me give my students hands-on STEM learning experiences to be used in the morning, and science time, as an incentive to come to school each day!

Hello, I am a first grade math and science teacher at a Title I achievement school in a very low income area in Florida. I have to privilege to work with creative and curious little learners. My students are often tardy and miss valuable instruction time.
My little learners love anything hands-on that they can build, manipulate and create.
My hope is to find a way to motivate them to get to school. Thank you so much for helping my little eagles SOAR!
A problem that occurs at our school most frequently is student tardies which hinders student success because of the instructional time lost.
I want to create fun and engaging stations for morning work that coincide with our new STEM initiative.
By having STEM stations it creates a meaningful, engaging and positive environment to start the day motivating students to want to come to school. The way in which I plan to use these resources are both in the morning as students come in as well as during my science block. In the mornings I would set up stations around my room that students can join as they enter the classroom. I plan to change out the activity in each station weekly or monthly as to give my students access to a variety of different technology. I feel, this is a great start to the morning and begins to stimulate their brain and get them ready for the day. My goal is for these resources to motivate students to want to come to school. I realize that tardiness is not on the students, but if the student is up and ready because they want to come to school to engage in these morning activities the parents will help get the student their on time. Then once I get them in the classroom I am able to give my students full instruction which will help their achievement across all subject areas because they are not tardy.
These materials would also be integrated into my science block as a way to have students take part in hands-on meaningful STEM activities to deliver lessons that engage them in a way that they would most enjoy that would align with our schools new STEM initiative.
