My Project
Decodable texts are an incredible resource. They follow specific phonic rules that students already know which enables students to practice and master what they have learned.
When students are able to unlock the code, there is no limit to the amount they can read!
This project will go to fund 3 sets of decodable texts. One is a non-fiction set which is rare for decodables. Not only will students be able to read independently, but they will also learn about specific topics as they read. The other sets are fiction, so students will be able to independently enjoy stories with characters and plot. The joy students get by reading texts independently is unlike anything else. Reading changes lives!
