Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are in grade kindergarten all the way to sixth grade. All of them have an Individual Education Plan (IEP). They have academic areas of need that require specialized academic instruction. I am their resource specialist program (RSP teacher). I see them for portions of their day based on their academic areas of need and amount of time the team has agreed on.
I have attended the Orton Gillingham training and feel these decodable book materials would help them strengthen their reading skills in so many ways.
I often have a lack of decodable texts and work for my students which hinders their ability to complete work.
