My Project
Our district is focusing on the Science of Reading, so reading books using phonics skills is really important. Help give my Kindergarten students decodable books to give them the confidence to read independently on the different phonics skills they need.
Having decodable books focused on the phonics pattern they are learning will help them transfer their skills to reading.
Kindergarten students are learning to read so having these decodable readers with different phonics skills, especially CVC words using short vowel sounds will help them to blend and read the words more easily. These decodable readers will help them to build confidence as they read independently and practicing using these phonics strategies.
