This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have recently switched grades from first to second grade. I am finding that I need more decodable chapter books for older students who don't want to read books that seem too young for them.

I have curated a list of mainly decodable books for my students to enjoy.

If this project is funded, I will use the books in my classroom with struggling readers. The ability to sound out books that have an interesting story and appear to be at your level is so important to struggling readers. It would help my students so much to have these avalible.
