I teach first grade and every year I have students who read above grade level. So many interventions are put in place for students who are below grade level, but there isn't much for those who are above grade level.
I would love to have these decodable chapter books for my students who read above grade level.
I don't meet with these students as often as my other students during guided reading, so these chapter books would be perfect for them to read on their own. Then they can meet with me for a book talk and for me to check for comprehension. They are all decodable which follows the science of reading!
