My Project

I am currently work with the most struggling readers on my campus. I have been utilizing best practices for teaching phonics in my groups. I work with grades K-6. This was my first year at this school and I have finaly figured out what piece is missing from my instruction!

One of the best tools for struggling readers is decodable books.

These books help them to apply the new phonics knowledge they are learning and make them feel successful in books which so many students don't get to feel. Help my students to have this powerful tool in their hands as they learn to read!

Mrs. Zerger will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by August 17.
