My Project
I am requesting sets of decodable readers for my students. Decodable texts are carefully designed reading materials that encourage children to sound out words using decoding strategies. Students can "decode" the text, using familiar phonics skills to read words instead of relying on patterns, pictures, and memorized sight words to guess what the book is saying.
My students are eager to become fluent readers and deserve quality educational materials to help them reach this goal.
My students display a range of ability levels and these decodable texts cover a variety of skills like: short vowels, blends, digraphs and more allowing me to teach each student exactly where they are.
