This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As an English as a new language teacher I have had the privilege of meeting students from many parts of the world. I have had students from countries like Yemin, Russia, Venezuela and even Kazakhstan. These amazing students bring their diverse knowledge, culture and language with them. I do my best to celebrate their differences while finding common ground. One similarity that they all share is their love for reading!
That is why I am asking for your help to purchase decodable readers to help them in their reading fluency.
The decodable books that I am requesting target specific reading skills like vowel teams, blends, digraphs and so much more. These books would greatly increase my student's fluency as they master each skill before they move on to the next. These books would also help grow their confidence as they become better readers.
