Our high school is made up of over 1,400 students with diverse interests, abilities, and backgrounds. A suburban school, our programs attract many students from other districts; schools of choice students comprise almost one quarter of our student population.
Our students are kind and caring, and work to positively impact the world around them, and will do GREAT things when they leave high school!
Approximately 72% of our students continue on with post-secondary studies: 53% attend a four-year university, 19% attend a two-year college, and that does not include our students who continue on to a trade school, to serve in the military, or to join the workforce.
My Project
Graduating high school is one of the first big life events that students experience. Celebrating this event not only impacts the graduates, but it creates excitement and creates a buzz for the freshmen, sophomores, and juniors in the building to think about their own future plans. Our school will be hosting a Decision Day celebration. We will celebrate and post our seniors' post-high school plans throughout the building, offer snacks and photo opportunities to share their plans and celebrate their success via social media, and reward their hard work and future plans with giveaways that they can use upon leaving high school. By donating to our project, you are not only celebrating soon-to-be graduates, but also helping to inspire the rest of our student body to work hard to reach their own goals.
