This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In 6th grade, we do a lot of work with fractions and decimals. We also start working on percentages and ratios. All these things can be very challenging but are incredibly important for our world today.
When math is fun, students learn and retain knowledge better.
I am requesting a fraction game, Perfection game, and a numerical tile game. I am hoping to get these fun and interactive ways to help my students learn these skills. No matter what they do later in life, they will use 6th grade skills heavily in life. Tips, taxes, and sales all use these 6th grade skills. Students should leave 6th grade prepared to deal with money.
