This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students need greater access to technology to prepare class presentations and participate in competitions. Each year, we hold a school-wide debate between 11th and 12th graders to help them practice argumentative skills for the AP exam. Students are expected to create slides or short videos to present to a live audience. With this laptop, they will be able to complete and edit their work during class, collaborate with peers, and share their videos with students in other classes rather than relying on limited after-school access at the school library.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
