My Students
I am the lucky teacher of 82 fantastic 6th graders. My students are simply the best. They are hard-working and dedicated to their studies.
Our school mission statement is "Honorable, Motivated, Supportive." My students exhibit these attributes to the highest degree. They always give 100% to everything they do at school, and I want to show them how much I appreciate them each and every day. I hope to do that with this project. My students deserve this and more!
My Project
My students come to me all the time requesting books for our classroom library, and I do my best to provide whatever they wish. Who doesn't want to put the desired book in the hands of a voracious reader? For this project, I specifically asked students to write me a "Dear Ms. Smith" letter asking what materials they wanted for our classroom. 99% of the letters included requests for specific genres, topics, book titles, or authors. Without hesitation, I began shopping for my students. I cannot wait to see the looks on their faces if their book wishes come true!
