My Students
My jumping jellybeans are full of life. My kindergartners come to class every day ready and eager to learn. My elementary school is located in southern Houston, Texas. We serve students from low income, multicultural, and bilingual homes. Our community is tight-knit, and we are extremely fortunate to be strongly supported by our families.
My jellybeans are creative, clever and very spontaneous.
They are dreamers, thinkers, talkers and questioners. They are mini inspirations to themselves and others around them, even if they don't know it yet. They are budding ambassadors, world travelers, scientists, entrepreneurs or teachers. They are our future and I want to give them a great start to their long successful careers.
My Project
This project will be an amazing addition to our kindergarten classroom. A lot of our learning is built around hands-on activities. The Alphabots will not only allow my students to work on their letter recognition they will also allow them to learn using hands-on materials. A lot of my students are non-readers so the listening center will be an excellent addition to our library. It will allow my students to listen and follow along to stories read on CD.
My students deserve the best and I want to do my best to provide it for them.
The lighting projectors will allow for a nice soothing environment for my students to work in and during rest time. A lot of our notebooks were damaged so we need new notebooks and other supplies to help us continue with the school year. These past few months have been really rough for my students as we transition back into the normal routine of the school year but we have conquered a lot of things and this is another one that we will defeat.
