Dear Ancestors: We Understand the Assignment!

Help me give my students a book about African American children and Black History so they can learn about our amazing history.

My Project

The world is quickly changing. Black history is being erased from the history books and students may never know the amazing contributions our ancestors made to this country and the world. Our brown skin children are uncomfortable in their skin and with their hair. They are told they are not good enough or smart enough. The books in this project will build our student's confidence, teach them to love who they are and show them they are more than ENOUGH.

The students need to embody the strength, courage, and wisdom of our ancestors to help make the world a better place.

The books in this project teach children about African American inventors and explorers. Our students will learn about the amazing contributions African Americans made to make our lives easier. The books in this project also teach children to love the skin they are in and embrace their uniqueness.
