Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Flexible seating will allow my students to take charge of their learning as well as provide them a space for them to replenish their social and emotional needs.

Being able to provide a comfortable space to read will allow my Deaf and Hard of Hearing students to fully immerse themselves in their learning.

While the students are doing their independent reading, they are able to select different locations in the classroom that they feel would be beneficial to their reading. At their current time, my students are able to do their studies at their assigned tables or by sitting on the floor with a foldable lap desk. Ensuring my students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them to be excited about literature. They have continued to show that when they are given flexible seating, they are more engaging and are more likely to make the best choice when it comes to their education.
