My Students

Imagine a school space where all students are excited to learn and cannot wait to visit. In this space, you will see students actively engaged in reading, writing, planning, designing, collaborating, creating and yes, learning! The school library media center is the heart of our school.

My students are inquisitive, enthusiastic, creative, diverse learners.

The library media center caters to students in grades PreK-6. We have a multi-cultural population with over 50% that come from low income backgrounds, qualifying us as a Title I-funded school. My students are 21st century learners that need a space that is inviting, vibrant and as dynamic as they are.

My Project

Upon returning to school from summer break, our beloved and essential SMART Board was completely dead. With no hope of replacing it or repairing it any time soon, I am beseeching you to help us replace it with a TV.

My goal is to build and develop a dynamic, 21st century learning space; however, it requires the right tools.

This TV would allow me to share video clips, databases, e-books, student work and much more. The ability to share learning content in this manner is highly conducive to valuable learning conversations, researching, evaluating, creating, and collaborating. All of which are highly desirable college and career ready skills.
