My Project
Many of my students are diagnosed with anxiety disorders, health impairments and emotional needs. They have Crisis Management Paraprofessionals or Behavior Intervention Plans.
However, they are lacking the tools they need to help them de-escalate and develop coping skills that will help with self regulation.
If the project is funded, I am hoping to create a safe, calm space, for our students with disabilities to go when they are having difficulty expressing their emotional needs. When they work toward their replacement behavior, they should earn something they really want, such as time to play a game or a bag of chips to eat. Please help fund this project, so I can help teach coping skills that will de-escalate, self regulate and cope!
