My Students
My students are an energetic and excited bunch of kindergarten to second graders. Our classroom is involved in the Autism Initiative Verbal Behavior Program. All of my students are diagnosed with autism, and they have a range of needs that are addressed through small group and one-to-one teaching sessions.
My students are excited to be able to share their hard work with the world!
My students are working to improve not just their academic skills, but communication and social skills, so that they can interact with their world in the fullest way possible.
My Project
The clips and magnets will allow my students to display their work around our classroom and in the hallway. The string will allow us to display a colorful alphabet and "About Me" posters for when visitors help in our classroom. This will all help to create a welcoming environment, and will encourage students to take pride in their work and share it with the school community.
The brooms and wipes will help us to keep our classroom clean and sanitized.
My students are working on life skills such as cleaning up after themselves, and the brooms will allow us to do that on a daily basis.
