My students encompass the entire school. As their librarian, I am proud of their creative thinking and want to provide the tools that they need to develop into life-long learners. Their ages range between 11 and 14 and their abilities range across their age span. Our students are working toward becoming responsible and self-sufficient humans. The library is more than just a place to check out books. They come to the library to understand learning happens outside the classroom. We explore the world and share our ideas.
This will help make the library space feel more creative. Many students come to the library to find new books, work on homework, and hang out with their friends. Additionally, we are currently creating a library advisory board in which students will create displays and events. Help them make eye-catching displays, interactive shelving, and make the library an interesting place. This will also make the space user-friendly. When students feel that the space is inviting and a place where they see themselves represented, they are more likely to come! The library is the heart of our school.
