My Project

I teach fourth grade math and science in a rural school in Eastern Kentucky. Over 80% of my students qualify for free or reduced lunch and we are a Title 1 school. Beginning school next year I would like to implement data notebooks. In these notebooks I plan to have students graph and track their growth throughout the year.

Students who take ownership of their own learning show increased growth and achievement.

Having students graph and track their growth will help them take ownership and be more vested in their progress. My hope is to see an improvement in their math and science performance.

To be able to track their progress it is important for students to have their own binders to be able to have their data in one place and easy to access.
