"See the ABLE, not the label" I teach a diverse group of students with multiple disabilities and very high sensory needs. In our life skills classroom, we have students with disabilities ranging from autism, to down syndrome, to ADHD. My students are degree seeking so they still complete the high school curriculum requirements. They are very hard working individuals and care very much about their education. My kids started doing art therapy this year and enjoy it very much. We would like to continue to offer this service with your support.
My Project
I teach life skills and most of my students have a severe developmental delay. My school does a great job exposing my students to all types of curriculum, but unfortunately there is not enough resources to provide art for my students. My co-teacher and myself started doing art therapy with our students this year. They love creating and we have had a ton of fun. Next year we would like to expand this program and replenish our supplies. We need your help in order to do this. We need supplies to create art projects for the classroom. Please consider donating to this worthy cause.
