My Students

I have the great honor to teach 4th grade in a rural co-taught classroom, in which we mainstream our Special Ed students within the classroom. This past year we had the opportunity to get 6 Dash robots through a grant from our school board, who supports my vision of developing coders at a young age. My students last year had the opportunity to collaborate and problem solve with the use of Dash.

I need the registration fee covered, so I can participate in an online professional development program to advance my knowledge of coding with the use of Dash.

This course will give me a broader understanding of how coding and robotics fit into my everyday teaching.

My Project

I am requesting the opportunity to participate in an online professional development course in the area of computer science through Wonder Workshop. This course will allow me to learn new content and strategies for using our Dash Robots throughout our curriculum. This program will benefit not only my students, but other students, for years to come. I will be able to teach coding effectively to students who seek this in their future.

The knowledge gained through this online course will directly impact the success of my students this year, and those in the future.

Our 4th grade students do not have a computer science teacher to offer coding instruction, this is why this course is very important for our school. This professional development will allow me to include coding in all our subject areas. Your generous donation will directly impact all 4th grade students.
