Dash Robots for Our Elementary School

My students need robots to engage interactively. We could really use DASH ROBOTS to give us an authentic feel for what it means to program a computer. Using these robots will enhance their Computer Science Unit!

My Students

My students come to school eagerly ready to learn. They have the best attitude when it comes to being in school. They are kind and helpful. My students work so well with each other. It is a pleasure watching them work together day in and day out. They come to school excited about working in the computer lab and it is my job to keep them engaged. "Yes, I have Computer Lab today!" is a sentence I often hear. I want their excitement to continue year after year.

My Project

My students are actively learning about computer programming. They are curious learners who love to be engaged. They participate in the Hour of Code and play with Ozobots and hexbugs. My students would love to get their hands on the Dash Robot so they can interact further. Students can make the robot respond to commands, move around student made obstacles, dance, sing and so much more! My students have become efficient at creating mazes, codes and so much more. Using the DASH ROBOT will further enhance their instruction and give them a love for Computer Science. Our Computer Science program is just beginning in the elementary level and having these robots will be just the tool that will keep them excited and engaged.
