Dash Into Robotics

My students need robots and an IPad to develop programming and coding skills.

My Students

Our class consists of sweet, creative, and active 6 and 7 year old students who come to school excited about learning. My first graders love to move around and love when a wide variety of technology is incorporated into their daily instruction.

Each day I strive to make learning rigorous yet captivating in a positive learning environment.

I love the enthusiasm first graders bring to school and hope to create life long learners who have only positive memories from their school days.

My Project

My students were born into a technological world where mastering basic coding skills is a must for a successful future. Children love to be active learners and I love to provide active learning opportunities for them.

With exposure to the Dash and Dot robots, I will be able to provide my first graders with hands-on resources to develop programming skills that may not be possible at home.

Dash and Dot are robots that can be controlled by using an IPad. They can record voices, move on command, and play games with the person controlling them. With these hands on robots, my students will learn how to program Dash and Dot and then watch the commands come to life. The IPad is needed to control Dash and Dot. Please consider donating to this inspiring project. I cannot wait to see what the possibilities are for these amazing robots.
