Dash and Design: Coding Made Fun

Help me give my students a Dash Coding Robot to learn about coding in a fun and engaging way.

My Project

A Dash Coding Robot would be an incredible tool for my STEM lab because it will help students learn the fundamentals of coding in a fun, interactive, and hands-on way. Dash brings programming to life by allowing students to see their code in action as the robot moves, lights up, dances, and responds to voice commands. Its user-friendly design and visual coding apps make it perfect for beginners, while still offering advanced challenges for more experienced coders.

Using Dash, students not only develop critical computational thinking skills but also build confidence as they see how their creativity and logic directly control a real-world robot.

With a Dash robot, students can complete a variety of engaging projects and challenges that encourage problem-solving and collaboration. They could program Dash to navigate mazes, deliver classroom messages, or perform in a “robot talent show.”

Students can also integrate storytelling and design thinking by coding Dash to act out scenes or complete themed missions that connect with other subjects like math, science, and literacy. By experimenting with loops, events, and conditionals, students learn to think like engineers and coders—all while having fun.

The Dash Coding Robot would make coding exciting, accessible, and meaningful for every student in our STEM lab.
