Writing on paper is no fun! Students write on their notebook paper every day, sometimes a change of pace would be great. Students would enjoy sharing their answers on dry erase boards!
Due to federal and state budget cuts, our students get fewer and fewer materials available to them in class.
We have to learn to operate our classroom within these budget constraints. Paper costs money and a class set of dry erase markers would help lower our costs. Our school is located in Georgia. We have many students coming from a transient background or from homes lacking in resources. This area used to be mainly comprised of mills. Since those have closed, many families have been unable to get jobs. Therefore this area is lacking in the funds to purchase items we desperately need in our classroom.
I hope these dry erase boards and markers will help the students to be more interactive in their learning. We could do bell work with them. I could check for student understanding using them. They could help us to play a fun review game. There are many different ways dry erase boards would be utilized in my classroom!
Helping my students will let them know that people do care about a rural school in central Georgia.
Sometimes, it feels like no one does! I and my students appreciate anyone who takes the time to even consider this project!
