My Students
I have 15 students that are eager to learn, but in their own, creative ways. They love to read, enjoy our flexible seating options, and love to share their knowledge with each other. I want to encourage independence and helping each other.
The ideal classroom is where "The children are working as if I did not exist." That quote is from a woman I emulate.
As students use their tablets to learn, grow, and review, they will help each other understand. They, helping each other, will gain the most out of our rigorous curriculum. Allowing children to have fun while learning helps them strive to do their best and increase positive aspects of community living. Giving children the chance to share their knowledge with each other helps them gain confidence as well as academic growth.
My Project
Students learn in their own unique ways. I want to provide more means of teaching them differently and of them exploring independently. They boot up quicker and allow for more time to learn vs. update. Our classroom computers' batteries don't last more than a period, and sharing them with other classrooms inhibits when we can use them.
Tablets will allow students to push themselves to higher levels of learning in independent ways.
My students can better research questions they have about their literacy and math projects, they can review with strong educational apps, and we can play assessment games where they feel confident and I get instant results, thus allowing me to further differentiate their instruction.
