Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach a diverse population of students ranging from honors, special education, and English language learners who come from many different cultural backgrounds and educational needs. We are a Title I school which means that students come from many different social and economic circumstances. I teach seventh grade to three different mathematics classes every year with thirty students. My students are located mostly in the Elmhurst and Corona areas of Queens which has been hit very hard by this pandemic.

These Theatrical canes are going to be used in our upcoming performance to help our community of learners learn how to tap dance. These canes will provide them with the tool needed to perform with success.
