This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are among the most passionate dancers in our state. They thrive when they perform and showcase their creative choreography, but with so many talented students, we can't fit everyone on stage. That's why we want to produce high-quality video showcases that will give every student the opportunity to be featured. This also allows for their hard work to be seen by our community and beyond, making their performances accessible to a much wider audience that a stage can provide.

Our focus in dance education is to create, perform, respond, and connect.

Video performances are a fantastic tool that allow students to create new dances, perform them for all to see, respond to other performances and make connections within their educational journey.

Additionally, music is essential for dance, and this iPad would provide a hub for unlimited musical resources that students can utilize to expand their palate for music and creative movement. Currently students are limited to using the teacher's phone to access music which only allows for limited access.
