Dancers Dancing the Dance

My students need a new cd player and new music to start their dance program off with a bang this fall.

My Students

Plato said to "sing well and dance well, is to be well educated." My lovely students love to dance and I love teaching them. I have a very old cd player, and the students can not hear the music when they are working. It would be nice to have a new cd player, a couple of new c.d.s, and some scarves.

My students are a wonderful group of young ladies and gentlemen.

They love composing dance phrases and developing them into choreographed dances. Our school is very diverse and the dance class is one of the places the students can show and celebrate our school's diverse community. Our school is a public school located in New York City.

My Project

The cd player will enhance the choreographic work my students are doing. Last year we struggled to hear the music, with the new cd player my students will be able to focus on the movement when they are presenting their work and not have to worry about the sound. The c.d.s will provide my students with music they enjoy, and the scarves will allow them to work with a prop while they are dancing. My students will learn that hard work is rewarded and working hard is encouraged when they receive this gift.

Making a donation to this project would be like watering a beautiful, growing, newly planted tree.

Our dance program will be going into its second year. The first year was amazing, and with your generous gift I know that this year will be even better. Your gift will help the dancers dance the dance. Thank you in advance.
