My music students are full of energy, creativity, and a love for movement. They thrive when lessons combine music with active participation, and they especially enjoy activities that let them collaborate and learn together. What makes my students special is their willingness to work as a team, encourage each other, and try new things — whether they are dancing to a new rhythm or helping a friend learn a step.
With your help, I hope to provide Velcro sit spots to use during our cooperative dances and movement lessons.
These colorful spots will give students clear visual markers on the floor, helping them find their places quickly and stay safely distanced while still working together. This will make transitions smoother, give every child a defined personal space, and allow them to focus on the music and movement rather than worrying about where to stand. Having this structure will boost their confidence and help them develop skills in rhythm, coordination, spatial awareness, and teamwork.
My goal for this project is to create a safe, organized, and engaging environment where every student can participate fully in cooperative dances. The sit spots will not only make lessons run more efficiently, but also make group activities more inclusive, ensuring all students feel comfortable and successful.
