Dance Shoe Storage For Dance Students!

My students need storage for their dance shoes in the classroom.

My Students

Dance is their chance to have an outlet during the school day! We are lucky enough for our students to take dance three days a week, and it is amazing what it provides. My students love music, movement, and self-expression. They are eager to take risks and love performing.

Most of our students enter into this program with little to no dance experience, but a love for the art form.

Through this program they are exposed to all dance forms and begin to understand and embody the etiquette of a dancer.

My Project

Through our school, our department is able to provide students their own set of dance shoes. A issue that I noticed is students would not remember to bring their shoes to class or lose them at home.

Several of our students do not have stable housing situations and often have trouble keeping track of their items.

With 76 students I began to brainstorm what could be a potential solution to support students being prepared in the classroom. Providing individualized storage for each student's pair of shoes allows students to be responsible for their items in a safe and secure space.
