Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Each of my four classes of theater and dance are diverse learners including 20 English Language Learners, between 5- 10 students with specific abilities, and students of all grade levels. My classes focuses on community building, self-expression, exploration of identity through theater and dance. My students express their emotions using their bodies and voice every day in my class.
My Project
In a beginning dance class, students need to hear the instruction and the music without lagging or distortion in order to learn movements and techniques. A bluetooth microphone and a mixer will help clarify both the music and the instruction. This is critical for an effective class during remote learning. In nearly every class students have stated that the music lags or they can't hear the instruction in real time. The mixer itself will help to be able to prevent the lagging of music and will help students learn dance moves with musicality.
