My Students

Our students are middle and high school kids who want to bring back a program providing free feminine hygiene products in our bathrooms and locker rooms.

These kids focus on equality, inclusion, safety, and generosity.

These students are ready to take on the world! They look forward to spreading this program to area schools to continue to support their peers and neighbors. Please consider helping these girls reach their goal! Every student deserves to be in class and have their needs met!

My Project

Periods. Every girl gets them at some point in our lives, and for many, it's a hard time. Going to school with a pad or tampon for the first time is quite possibly one of the most nerve-wracking things to do, along with asking a friend for a pad/tampon and figuring out how to sneak into the bathroom: Not to mention the constant fear that you're going to leak through your pants.

In summary, periods suck.

If you're a high school/middle school student, you easily understand the constant struggle. That is where Comfort Care comes in. Comfort Care is a student-led initiative that provides free pads and tampons in high school bathrooms to anyone in need. This year, we're focusing on expanding our initiative to other schools and educating young women about our bodies in a healthy way. With the help of teachers Ms. Smith & Mrs. Almeida, the students involved are innovating how girls at DC-G Schools take care of their body.
