This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The use of notebooks is a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math and reading. Using interactive notebooks in math, students use their notebooks for guided practice and to record modeled strategies. The notebooks allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work.

Reading is another important time of the day when we use notebooks!

We use them to focus on the main idea and details of a text, review vocabulary, and keep track of genres and literary terms.
