I have been a teacher for 15 years now. This year is my fourth year as a third-grade teacher. I am excited for this school year. My class is a pleasure. They are so well behaved and well mannered. I have a class of 22 students, many of them receive ELL services, Basic Skills, and Resource support. I have push-in support during my literacy and math block to help with my ELL learners. This will be a year of challenge, but also one of learning and excitement for us.
My Project
Classroom decorating will be a breeze and a money saver when I can use my Cricut! I will be able to cut projects out quickly for my students to do. We can make all kinds of projects throughout the year. We can also make manipulatives for math and and cut puzzles for learning. I can make my own banners and or lettering for motivational quotes and posters to hang on the walls, signs, name tags, cut wording and borders to decorate my bulletin boards/whiteboards, and decorate my classroom door. Not only can I decorate my classroom, but I can organize it too. I can use vinyl to label everything from my supply bins, to clipboards, to even labeling different areas of the classroom, and label and organize book bins! I can use vinyl and make window clings to attach to windows and whiteboards. I can also utilize the Cricut in the classroom to make inexpensive gifts, like birthday bags, holiday gifts for students, treat bags, custom team t-shirts, bookmarks, ornaments, and more! The possibilities are endless!
