Cutting (Literally) Robots!

Help me give my students a Dremel 3000 kit, adjustable hacksaws, Dremel EZ406 kits, and aluminum hacksaws.

My Project

The students I am writing this project for are 7th and 8th grade students in my beginning robotics classes. It has been a very exciting 1st year of offering these classes at my junior high. They have designed, built and coded a wide variety of robots.

The time has come for robot customization!

Students have reached the point where what they are designing is beyond the ability of our stock parts without modifications.

The Dremels and hacksaws from this project open up endless opportunities for the manipulation of these parts into custom robot designs. Students follow strict safety protocols when cutting. It's a great feelings seeing a student able to create something that they had only envisioned in their mind.
