This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My fifth grade students have a strong sense of curiosity about the world around them. This can clearly be seen during our STEM lessons and the projects they propose and create.

The Cricut Joy can be an incredibly valuable tool for 5th-grade students working on STEM projects, offering them a hands-on way to engage with core concepts in science, technology, engineering, and math.

A Cricut Joy could enhance my students' learning by cutting out parts of models for their math and science projects, models to use in fraction lessons can be created, geometric and 3-D objects can be cut out and utilized, parts could be cut out to use for their engineering projects, and more.

Our fifth grade students also participate in gardening projects, so a Cricut Joy would be a great tool for them to use to label seeds, seedlings, and different plants through all the stages of growth.

Overall, a Cricut Joy would be a useful tool for students to use collaboratively in a variety of STEM projects throughout the school year.
