My Project

My students need new glass cutting tools, paint brushes and wax resists to create fused glass and painted ceramic art projects.

My first grade students are excited to advance their art skills with these new tools.

We have been using old paint brushes that are losing bristles in the glaze. They would be so thrilled to get a set of new paint brushes. I would love to teach my students how to use wax resist to paint words or designs on their clay projects.

So far I have done all of the glass cutting for students. I would love to have two more sets so students could try this skill under my supervision. It is a little scary at first but is safe and so exciting once you learn how. I also work with older students throughout the year and they would be very successful and safe cutting the glass themselves for fused glass projects.

Kids can do more that we often think they can. Let's give them a chance to try these new skills.
