This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Learning to read and write is a daunting task. With your help, this important task can be more engaging and interesting. My young students tackle the learning of letters, sounds and creating words on a daily basis. Help them out, make it fun!
My students attend a public school in the northeast of San Fernando Valley.
Our school is located in a lower social and economic class neighborhood. The majority of my students did not attend pre-school. This fact makes it even harder for them to attend to learning to read.
My Project
The materials that I am requesting will help my students learn and demonstrate their learning in age appropriate ways. Writing stories, drawing pictures, and creating art work to accompany their learning can motivate them to achieve even more. If you provide them with these materials, they can create and learn without hesitation. The ability to read, write and share that learning through creating stories and art will prove to them all those that surround them that they've done a great thing.

Providing them with paper, crayons, glue, scissors and creative materials will motivate them to do so even more. Help me to make writing and publishing a story with friends an everyday task. Using paper and materials that are age appropriate will make it easier for students to create as their hearts desire. Boy, do they desire.
