Our student athletes are enthusiastic and humbled to get to be apart of an athletic team at our school. This being said, they appreciate having the little things such as matching uniforms, attire, and personalized equipment.
Due to our low student enrollment, being a low socioeconomic school, and being from a small community with limited small business support and few sports available for our school, it's difficult to have the funds necessary to provide them with these extras that not only do they love, but deserve.
These extras boost their morale, their confidence, and models unification and teamwork so that as they travel to other venues they are proudly representing their school.
My Project
These supplies and materials will help unlock creative potential in our students while rekindling school pride. Now, more than ever, all of our students need a sense of being part of a supportive school community. With these materials, students will be able to design and make their own creations, leaving them feeling accomplished, while escaping the uncertainty of the COVID world. From classroom projects to fundraisers to pep-club activities, students will be giving opportunities to think outside the box, create unique products and take ownership in their learning. Such activities foster stronger school pride and social-emotional resilience in all students.
