My Project
My students are both mathematicians and artists that range from seventh through twelfth grade in a variety of courses, including Algebra 1A, 8th-grade art cycle, year-round 9-12th grade Art, and I & E Mathematics
My students love to create and have a passion for learning.
Through mathematics and art, my students are learning there are several paths to take when approaching problems and that all problems can have more than one solution.
With a customized pair of sneakers, my artists can create an individualized pair of running sneakers that will help inspire them to get out and be active and help boost their spirits!
Kids who are highly active are more likely to get good grades and continue their education. It is my hope these pairs of individualized and customized with art sneakers will help my artists stay active and well not only this year but even after they graduate! The paints, containers, cleaners and brushes will all help in the creation of this project. Some are choosing to give an old pair new life and cleaners are needed. Some don't have a pair so some sizes are needed. Some are getting a special type of sneaker they are already talking about designs!
This project was completed the last two years by my seniors and was a big success. I am hoping to continue doing this project with my artists with your help!
